Why learning Core Vocabulary is not sufficient If you are learning a language, you are probably very familiar with the core?000 concept, be it core2000, core5000 or whatever. The reasoning is, if you learn the most frequent words of a language, then you can read most parts (let’s say 90%) of a text. Sounds reasonable
